Title

Appealing a suspension

There may be times when circumstances make it difficult to comply with M State's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. If there are mitigating circumstances (such as a hospitalization, documented medical problems or death of an immediate family member), you can submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal to request permission to return to M State without completing a one term suspension.  An academic advisor can answer your questions about completing the appeal form. After submission, your appeal will be reviewed by a committee and you will be notified of their decision with a letter sent to your M State email account.

Suspended After Spring Semester 2024

If you are suspended following Spring Semester and are registered for Summer courses, your appeal must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 in order for you to remain in your courses while your appeal is being reviewed. If an appeal is not submitted by this time or if your appeal is denied, your courses for Summer will be removed from your schedule, and you will no longer be enrolled.

If you are suspended following Spring Semester and are registered for Fall Semester courses, your appeal must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 in order for you to remain in your courses while your appeal is being reviewed. If an appeal is not submitted by this time or if your appeal is denied, your courses for Fall will be removed from your schedule, and you will no longer be enrolled.
